Our competent and experienced team of glaziers carry out repairs to both business and residential properties. We carry out repairs 24 hours a day* and will be at your door within 30-90 minutes*. Alternatively, you are welcome to book non-emergency work with us at a time of your preference. Here is more information about the kinds of glazing works we provide.
We aim to replace the glass as quickly as possible whilst maintaining an excellent service throughout. After arriving, we will determine the accurate measurements and specification of the glass you require and will install a British Standard quality replacement. We aim to fit single glazed glass panes the same day, however, certain types of glass (such as patterned door panels and double glazed units) do need to be ordered in and fitted when ready. We can fit glass at any size, specification and height - the latter, often with the aid of ladders, scaffolding or cherry pickers it it is for higher levels.
Aside from our glazing, we also provide an extensive framework service. We repair and replace broken frames and completely replace windows and doors if that is your preference. Upon attendance, we organise the repairs immediately, or at least gain the specifications for the replacements, if this is the required course of action. When replacements are needed, we order the necessary parts and then fit when ready. Our professional and skilled glaziers will re-attend and ensure a job well done.
We provide an alternate service for the supply and fit of mirrors and table top panes. Our glaziers pride themselves on their skill and craftsmanship. We ensure your safety and carefully smooth the edges of mirrors and table tops to avoid potential injury. If you need a mirror with bevelled edges, we can supply and fit one to these specifications for you. Equally, we can cut table tops or mirrors into shapes whether it be an oval, or a more elaborate design.
Most new glass is known as 'low-e' glass (low emissivity glass) or 'K-glass'. This is glass with a special quality of heat insulation. It is a legal requirement to replace the glass with another 'low-e' pane or unit and we are here to ensure this would be taken care of. Alternatively, you may desire extra insulation from your double glazing. This can be achieved by us filling a new double glazed unit with argon gas while it is being created.
Are you in need of a window removed to get a sofa or another item inside? We offer a 'remove and refit' service where the glass pane is removed for the duration and securely refit into the frame once you're finished. No mess, no fuss.
If your panel breaks in the evening or night, we will attend to board up the broken panes and proceed with a re-glaze during day time hours. We apply a secure plywood board for either a temporary or permanent duration, as per your decision, over the broken panel for your property's protection.
Does your double glazed or single glazed window have a lead pattern or Georgian bars? Our glaziers can apply decoration-lead in a square or diagonal pattern on to the window or install Georgian bars so they are either inside a double glazed unit, or applied to the outside of the glass.
Some windows will be comprised of small pieces of glass surrounded by lead. We specialise in repairing or replacing old-fashioned lead light windows. Whether the individual panes have been damaged, or the lead itself has been damaged, we will be able to remedy the problem. Occasionally, the issue would be beyond repair and a full replacement would be required. In this case, we can temporarily re-glaze the window for you, or apply a board and order a completely new leaded-light window in the meantime to be fitted upon the window's arrival.
In the event you have a polycarbonate or perspex pane, we can also replace this for you. We can provide the new piece in either clear or obscured perspex of differing thickness as per what the frame allows. The choice is yours to make.
Do you have a sash window problem? Our glazing and framework repairs cover any problems you may have. We can replace the glass or the frame for the sash window in the same way we replace glass or frames for the other types of windows. If the window is out of alignment, or isn't hanging properly, our glaziers can do the necessary adjustments, replacing the sash cords if required.
Are you interested in panes which insulate from the sun or allow additional privacy from the outside? We can apply window film to new or existing windows by applying it to the pane before installing it in the frame. We have several trusted suppliers who provide high-quality film in the required dimension and the desired preference.
